Acceptable Use Policy
Effective: 2026-06-12 Last updated: 2026-06-12
Klyna tools are free and open. We want them used widely, including in commercial work. The short list below is what makes us pull a release, ban a user from the admin panel, or refuse support.
You may not use Klyna tools to:
- Spam search engines. Mass-produce thin or AI-spun pages, doorway pages, cloaked content, or hidden text designed to manipulate rankings.
- Cloak. Show different content to search engines than to humans.
- Scrape competitors at scale. Klyna's audit tools are for sites you own or have written permission to audit. Using them to slurp data from third-party properties at high rate is out.
- Resell our free tools as paid. You can charge for setup, hosting, consulting, or a custom theme that bundles Klyna; you cannot relabel a Klyna plugin and sell it as if it were yours. (The license technically allows forks; this policy is about the Klyna name and brand goodwill.)
- Harm other users. Don't use Klyna infrastructure (ping endpoint, support, admin panel) to attack, harass, or DDoS anyone — including us.
- Process illegal content. Don't run Klyna on sites that host CSAM, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that is unlawful where the site is hosted.
- Bypass our security controls. Don't try to forge install pings, fake
site identifiers, or extract data from
klyna.dev/adminif you are not the operator. Security research under our disclosure policy is welcome and safe-harboured.
What happens if you do
We may block your install pings, refuse support, revoke access to admin features, and (for serious or repeated abuse) publish a notice in the relevant plugin/app changelog. We will not "brick" your install — you can keep running an unsupported copy — but we will withdraw services we control.
